a bad day turned good.

today just wasn't that great.
I went to court, was found guilty, paid a fine.
didn't eat anything all day.
homework has been pilling up.
exams and projects due.
car is in the body shop.

I don't remember being this stressed out in a long time.
I felt like I wanted to break something.
Or that my head was just going to pop off from all the pressure.

then my wife saved me.

to my wife:
I love you.
you fill the world with joy and adventure.
you make me feel safe.
you make me want to be better.
it makes me smile thinking of our possible future together.
